I like how this design brakes out of a given shape (a road sign) and creates a very classic and appropriate look, using a limited colour palette that is very suitable for the subject matter.

Even tho Yulia has created the type out of paper it still is very sharp and crisp, pretty much identical to the computer version, i feel that a big thing about the designs is the shadow that is generated from the lighting used when taking the photographs, this boosts the 3d appeal of the design enhancing it's impact on the page.
I really feel that these designs have great aesthetic values and on a visual level are really strong and well crafted pieces. the use of colour is really interesting and brings fun and energy to the pieces. The creation, using paper materials is very well executed and the lines of the images are very sharp and well defined.

This level of finish is something i need to approach with my design practice and make sure i execute my designs to a very high level.

these designs give me inspiration to work with materials to create imagery for posters etc.
this is something i want to research in depth and find out the other kind of hand crafted design pieces are out in the design industry and their uses.

this leads me onto a possible concept of using materials such as plastic bags - paper - plastic products to generate a design. This would allow me to help the environment by re-using products rather than throwing them out!
If i where to make a design from paper then it would need to be ether re-cycled or re-used from paper products e.g. magazines and newspapers.
