The work that james produces has a strong focus on prints for editions whilst producing work for more corporate projects.
i am most interested in the edition posters that he produces and the simplicity that they take. i feel that with previous work i have tried to over complicate projects and briefs/ desgins. therfore i would like to produce work that has a focus on more simplistic designs.
also i woud like my work to have a focus on both type and image as i feel both can be applied to the limited edition printed material - such as with Joyce's designs. Thus giving my work a sense of diversity.
the desgins themselves are very clean and clear and not over complicated using bold clean colour's this is something i would like to utalise within my work so that the desgins stay simple - however see how i can possibly brake away from this and generate my own style.
editions - Joyce's editons are priced and set as followed - editions of prints of 25: £85 - editions of 10 - £125
the more limited the run the higher value is put upon the design.
these kinds are prices that are there due to his status and being know - therefore i should look at lower end desigers that price there work lower to see the kind of competion within this area.
